If you are reading this section, you probably already know about my professional side. If not, do not hesitate to visit the main page to know what I do. Here, let’s talk about my other facets!
I really think that to travel should be mandatory at least once in your life. For me is one of the most fulfilling experiences. And by travel I mean connect with your destination, with people, with nature, not just to visit places.
I currently live in Spain, but I try to travel every year to get a glimpse of this wonderful blue ball. I’ve been in several European countries, Argentina, Australia, Mexico, Morocco, and United States among other countries.
One of my passions is nature. I think we must preserve the only planet we have and all the species that make it thrive. I’ve been involved in several environmental causes, founding two NGOs and volunteering for long time. As Henry Thoreau once said, ‘Wilderness is the preservation of the World’.
Ocean Sentry was the beginning of it. My wife and I founded the NGO in Barcelona, back in 2008, to rise awareness about the critical situation of the oceans. An activist was born.
We still run it if you want to check it out!
I’m kind of a restless guy and I like to try to make ideas come true, so I’ve been starting several projects in my lifetime. Some of them failed, but you always learn when you fail. I created two startups, one in Spain based on IT services and another one in the US based on responsible travel services. If you’re curious about the last one, here is a video I did: This is Alter Trails.
I consider myself a compassionate person who cares for this planet and all living beings living in it. That’s why I’m a vegan. For the animals, for the planet. Going vegan will not only benefit other animals but also yourself, as a vegan life is healthier, fulfilling and peaceful. If you’re interested in learning more, please visit the Vegan Society website.
Yes, I’m also a bit of a geek. I like technology and I enjoy playing with gadgets like my last drone. When I was a kid I enjoyed taking my toys apart to figure out how they worked, nowadays I have a Raspberry Pi for gutting and investigative works. But getting back to my drone, wanna see my it flying? Pump up the volume and check the following video.
I love to read. I know, it’s a classic, but it’s true. I really enjoy a good book, a glass of wine and a comfy sofa. I read about the environment, about politics, about hacking. Mostly non-fiction, as I like to learn science, history, ecology and many other interesting issues when I read. By the way, I’m even featured in a book! If you want to check it out, it’s a great book: Sea Voices.
